Baldwin Township's Comprehensive Plan provides a guide for how the community will continue grow and develop in the next 20 years. The Comprehensive Plan is generally updated every ten years or as significant issues arise to reflect changing conditions.
- Residential growth
- Commercial development
- Office / Industrial development
- Sewer and Water utilities
- Parks and open space
The Comprehensive Plan serves as the guideline for Baldwin's Zoning Ordinance. In accordance with the Comprehensive Plan, the Town established specific areas for residential, commercial, and industrial development with performance standards applicable to each type of property and use. All new development and existing land uses in Baldwin must comply with the Zoning Ordinance. Requests to divide property must also comply with the procedures and requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance and engineering review.
